I really don't know when or where my father's puppet shows started. (Maybe someone could help here) I'm sure the awareness of puppet shows started as a youth while he lived in Germany. In San Francisco a unique concept and talent merged together to form a one-man puppet show. Wolo launched into entertaining kids and adults with a colorful and shy little hand puppet on stage. Each always had a case of stage fright. Wolo had “on hand” a cast of about a dozen different animal characters. One puppet, when given a drawing board, would draw pictures on stage. Kids loved it!
